Welcome to
. Our program trains mentors and provides reading materials to inspire a love of reading and develop 21st century reading skills. Established in 1985 by Time Inc. to address the crisis of low levels of literacy among American children and adults, Time To Read is the nation's largest corporate-sponsored literacy/mentoring program. Earning such honors as President's Volunteer Action Award and the Points of Light Foundation Award, Time To Read has helped more than 300,000 people improve their reading skills.
Today, Time Warner Cable and its sister companies, Time Inc., Turner Networks and HBO, engage more than 6,500 participants in weekly tutoring sessions, providing more than 100,000 hours of volunteer mentoring annually in communities where we live and do business.
